Teaching

Ye-Ye is a qualified languages teacher and holds a PGCE in European Language with Mandarin from the University of Oxford. She teaches students of all ages and stages of learning: from young children with learning difficulties, to adults developing their skills for work and personal enjoyment.

Her pedagogy is based on principles drawn from academic research on linguistics and education and her experiences of teaching in the classroom. She looks at language comparatively, analysing the properties of European alphabetical languages vis-à-vis Mandarin, a logographic system. Her musical expertise and leadership lend creativity to her practice – the disciplines of language and music being so closely interlinked.
